Korean Gochujang Chicken

Some flavor of heat with a mix of salty and sweet! This sauce is made with mirin, soy sauce, garlic and a dash of brown sugar! This sauce works great with baked salmon, chicken or tofu in bibimbap bowls!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breasts diced
  • 2 tablespoons mild gochujang chili poaste
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 3 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • sesame seeds for topping

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, mix together gochujang, mirin, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic cloves and brown sugar/maple syrup.
  • Add in chicken to coat completely, marinate for 10 minutes, up to overnight of maximum flavor.
  • Preheat skillet to medium heat with sesame oil. Add chicken to cook until done! Top with sesame seeds before serving!
