Cheesy Tahini Sauce

Advertisements

My all time favorite creamy, vegan sauce to make! It goes well drizzled on top of meats, used as a marinade or in salads!

Nutritional yeast is a vegan food product. it can be used to add protein, vitamins and minerals to your foods – as well as mimic a creamy cheesy taste in sauces or when sprinkled on top of foods. It is a significant source of B vitamins. Some nutritional yeast is fortified with vitamin B12, which is a vitamin that vegans will not get from their diet alone as B12 only comes from animal products.

I love nutritional yeast because it mimics a cheese taste in a lot of foods for me. I’m lactose intolerant so I don’t eat any dairy, sadly 🙁 I became lactose intolerant when I was in college. I tried to train myself to eat airy by eating a scoop of yogurt a day and that definitely gave me stomach a hit, not worth it. Using nutritional yeast has been a discovery to me because there are SO many ways to use it! I also have some in my pantry.

You can make a batch of this sauce and keep it in your fridge for 4 days! Drizzle on all your savory foods.

Trust me, it’s that good.
