Matcha Mug Cake (Gluten-Free)

Advertisements

Matcha is a green tea powder packed with antioxidants! This is an easy mug-cake recipe ready in under 5 minutes! This cake is gluten-free and sweetened with a hint of maple syrup! Dusted with powdered sugar on top for some sweetness! No baking or cooking involved, just a whisk, microwavable bowl and microwave!

I love matcha lattes or anything matcha flavored so of course, I had to try out a matcha mug cake recipe!

The two matcha brands Ippodo Tea USA and Matchaful!

Ippodo Tea USA is located in the heart of Kyoto. This brand sells a variety of different matcha powders to pick from – whether you’re baking with it to making lattes, or even if you prefer a sweeter vs. earthy flavor profile!

Matchaful only sources 100% organic premium matcha from Japan! They have great single-origin options!

Once I had these two matcha powders, I haven’t been able to use any others without telling the difference. These are great quality!
