Blackberry Yogurt Waffles (Baby + Toddler Friendly!)

These blackberry yogurt waffles are a delicious and nourishing breakfast for little ones. They are soft on the inside with pockets of juicy blackberry in every bite. This recipe uses yogurt to add extra protein and healthy fats while keeping the texture tender and easy to chew for babies and toddlers.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup plain whole milk yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter or neutral oil
  • 3/4 cup all purpose or whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder optional for more fluffiness
  • 1/2 cup blackberries cut smaller if needed

Instructions

  • Preheat the waffle iron.
  • In a medium bowl whisk together the egg, yogurt, milk and melted butter. Add in the flour and if using, baking powder.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and gently fold until combined. Fold in the blackberries.
  • Cook the batter in the waffle iron until lightly golden and cooked through.
  • Cool slightly and cut into strips or small pieces for babies and toddlers.
