Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup milk any kind
  • 2 tbsp oil or melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract optional

Instructions

  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then stir in milk, oil (or butter), and vanilla.
  • Pour wet ingredients into the dry and mix until just combined (don’t overmix).
  • Preheat your waffle maker and lightly grease it.
  • Pour batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden and crisp.
  • Top with maple syrup, nut butter, granola, and fruit - or whatever you love!
