Cottage Cheese Banana Muffins (No Sugar, Toddler-Friendly)

These cottage cheese banana muffins are soft, fluffy, naturally sweetened, and packed with simple wholesome ingredients. The combination of ripe bananas, applesauce, and cottage cheese creates an incredibly moist texture while adding natural sweetness and a boost of protein without any added sugar!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 very ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup melted butter or coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line or grease a muffin tin.
  • In a bowl, mash the bananas, then mix in the cottage cheese, applesauce, milk, egg, and melted butter or coconut oil.
  • Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt directly into the wet ingredients and gently mix until just combined.
  • Fill muffin cups about 3/4 full and bake for 18–22 minutes, until lightly golden.
  • Let cool before serving.
