Homemade Play Dough Ingredients
2cupsall-purpose flour
¾cupsalt
4teaspoonscream of tartar
2cupslukewarm water
2Tablespoonsvegetable oil or coconut oil
Food coloring
Supplies Needed
2quartpot or bowl
Spoon or spatula
Wax paper or parchment paper
4Ziploc bags or airtight containers
Instructions
In a 2 quart bowl or pot, add the flour, salt, cream of tartar, lukewarm water, and coconut oil or vegetable oil.
Place the mixture over low heat.
Continuously stir the mixture as it heats until it begins forming into a soft play dough texture.
Keep stirring until the dough fully pulls together.
Remove the homemade play dough from heat and place it onto wax paper or parchment paper to cool.
Once cooled slightly, divide the dough into 4 equal sections.
Place each section into its own Ziploc bag.
Add about 7 to 8 drops of food coloring into each bag and knead the dough until the color is fully mixed in.
