Oatmeal Yogurt Waffles

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup plain whole milk yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup oat flour made by blending rolled oats

Optional Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter or coconut oil
  • 1 Once Upon a Farm fruit pouch or grated pear
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder optional for babies under 1
  • 1 tablespoon applesauce
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Add 1 cup rolled oats to a blender and blend until finely ground to make oat flour.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg, yogurt, milk, and melted butter or coconut oil.
  • Add the oat flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Stir until just combined.
  • Mix in the fruit pouch or grated pear and any optional ingredients if using.
  • Preheat and lightly grease your waffle maker.
  • Pour the batter into the waffle maker and cook until golden brown and fully set.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
