Ingredients
1small to medium steamed sweet potatomashed
1egg
¼cupplain whole milk yogurt
¼cupmilk
¾cupall-purpose or whole wheat flour
1teaspoonbaking powderoptional, recommended for toddlers
Pinchof cinnamon
1small pearfinely diced
Instructions
Mash the steamed sweet potato in a mixing bowl until smooth.
Add the egg, yogurt, and milk. Whisk until well combined.
Stir in the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon until just combined. The batter should be thick but pourable.
Gently fold in the finely diced pear.
Preheat and lightly grease your waffle maker.
Spoon batter into the waffle maker and cook according to manufacturer instructions, about 3 to 4 minutes, until golden but still soft.
Allow to cool slightly. Cut into strips or small pieces for baby.
