Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cooked salmon flaked (fresh or canned, make sure there are no bones)
  • 1/2 cup firm tofu pressed and crumbled finely
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped broccoli
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons flour all-purpose, oat, or whole wheat — adjust if mixture is too wet
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dried parsley
  • Oil for pan frying

Instructions

  • Combine the base: In a large bowl, mix together the flaked salmon and crumbled tofu.
  • Add the binders: Stir in the egg, flour, garlic powder, and parsley. The mixture should hold together when pressed - if it feels too wet, sprinkle in a bit more flour.
  • Shape the patties: Scoop out portions and gently form into small patties using your hands.
  • Cook the patties: Heat a thin layer of oil in a pan over medium heat. Pan fry each patty for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden and cooked through.
  • Cool and serve: Allow the patties to cool slightly before serving to babies. Serve with your favorite sides for older kids and adults.
