Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder optional for under 1
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup finely diced pear or grated pear

Optional

  • 1 tbsp applesauce
  • 1 tsp maple syrup or honey for 1+ only
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg, yogurt, milk, and melted butter or coconut oil.
  • Add the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Stir until just combined.
  • Fold in the diced or grated pear and any optional ingredients if using.
  • Preheat and lightly grease your waffle maker.
  • Pour batter into the waffle maker and cook until golden and fully set.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
