I also really like this Mushie plate. When I started baby led weaning, I used these Lalo divided plates. If you’re interested, HERE is my blog post of 10 must-have items when your baby is starting solids and baby led weaning!

1. Mashed Avocado and Egg Toast on Whole Grain Bread & Cara Cara Oranges

This meal is full of healthy fats and protein, making it a great way to start the day. I mashed together 1/2 an avocado and 1/2 a hardboiled egg. I added it on toasted whole grain bread with hemp seeds sprinkled on top. I paired it with 1/2 a cara cara orange. I ate the other half!

Instructions:

  1. Toast the whole wheat bread until crispy.
  2. In a small bowl, mash the avocado with egg until combined.
  3. Spread over toasts and lightly sprinkle with hemp seeds, everything bagel seasoning or salt if desired.

2. Chia Seed Pudding Oatmeal with Nut/Seed Butter, Banana & Hemp Seeds

This nutrient-packed breakfast is great for gut health and sustained energy. I make this chia seed oatmeal recipe for my toddler often. I prepare it the night before & it’s so easy! She loves it and typically asks for more.

Bagels are a fun and easy way to get some protein and carbohydrates into your toddler’s breakfast. I sliced and toasted the mini bagel. I gave her One Mighty Mill Mini Whole Wheat Bagels. Since these were the 5 breakfasts she had in a week, she had lots of berries because I needed to use them up!

5. Whole Wheat English Muffin with Nut/Seed Butter and Shredded Coconut & Side of Berries

This is a great option for busy mornings when you need something quick yet nutritious. It’s a classic & simple combo I eat myself often – except I use almond butter. My toddler is allergic to all tree nuts and peanuts so I give her Sunbutter Sunflower Seed Butter (unsweetened version). I spread some on an english muffin and sprinkled shredded coconut for more flavor. Paired with some fresh strawberries and blackberries!

Instructions:

  1. Toast the English muffin until golden brown.
  2. Spread sunflower seed butter on each half.
  3. Top with shredded coconut. Other toppings of choice would be sliced bananas or flaxseed meal.
