These salmon tofu patties are a quick, nutrient-packed option for baby-led weaning. Made with simple ingredients, they’re soft, easy to hold, and perfect for little hands. Adding tofu makes them extra tender while boosting protein, calcium, and iron, and they’re great for batch cooking and freezing!

A Quick and Easy Meal for Busy Moms

If you’re in a season where quick meals are a must, these salmon tofu patties are such a lifesaver. Everything mixes together in one bowl and cooks in minutes, which makes them perfect for lunch, dinner, or even prepping ahead of time. You can easily double the batch and keep extras on hand, so you always have something nutritious ready to go. It’s one of those recipes that feels simple but checks all the boxes.

Nutritional Benefits of Salmon and Tofu

One of the best parts about these salmon tofu patties for babies is how much nutrition they pack into each bite. Salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which play an important role in brain development and overall growth. It’s also a great source of protein and vitamin D, both of which are essential during early development.

Adding tofu takes the nutrition a step further by providing additional protein, along with calcium and iron to support strong bones and healthy growth. It also naturally softens the texture of the patties, making them easier for babies to chew, especially if they don’t have many teeth yet.

A Great Way to Add Veggies

This recipe is also a simple way to incorporate more vegetables into your baby’s meals. Finely grated or diced veggies like carrots, zucchini, spinach, or even broccoli blend seamlessly into the mixture without changing the texture too much. It’s a great option if you’re trying to offer a variety of nutrients while still keeping meals approachable and easy for your little one to eat.

Perfect for Baby-Led Weaning

These patties are ideal for baby-led weaning because of their soft, tender texture and easy-to-hold shape. They’re sturdy enough to hold together but still soft enough for babies who are just learning how to chew and manage solid foods. This makes them a great finger food that encourages independence while still being safe and manageable.

Storage and Freezing Tips

These salmon tofu patties are perfect for batch cooking and make mealtime so much easier throughout the week. You can store leftovers in the fridge for a few days and quickly reheat them when needed. They also freeze really well, so making a larger batch ahead of time is a great way to always have a nutritious option ready. Just reheat and serve for a quick, balanced meal your baby will love.
