Apple Cinnamon French Toast

This apple cinnamon french toast is one of those simple recipes you'd make on repeat because it uses basic ingredients you almost always have at home! The mixture is simply eggs, whole milk, cinnamon, and grated apple whisked together into an easy french toast batter!

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 –3 tablespoons whole milk
  • 1/4 –1/2 apple finely grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • butter for cooking

Optional:

  • splash of vanilla extract
  • pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

  • In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, and cinnamon. Stir in the grated apple.
  • Dip each slice of sourdough bread into the mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.
  • Heat a pan over medium-low heat with butter or coconut oil.
  • Cook the french toast for about 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked through.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
