Ingredients
2eggs
2–3 tablespoons whole milk
1/4–1/2 applefinely grated
1/2teaspooncinnamon
4slicessourdough bread
butter for cooking
Optional:
splash of vanilla extract
pinchof nutmeg
Instructions
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, and cinnamon. Stir in the grated apple.
Dip each slice of sourdough bread into the mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.
Heat a pan over medium-low heat with butter or coconut oil.
Cook the french toast for about 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked through.
