Apple Oatmeal Cookies (Easy Toddler Recipe)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour or whole wheat
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped apples peeled for softer texture, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, crack in egg and whisk in maple syrup, melted coconut oil and vanilla.
  • Add in dry ingredients - oats, flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Fold in chopped apples.
  • Scoop dough using a heaping 1 tablespoon, place on baking sheet, and gently flatten.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden, then let cool before serving.
