Finding meals that work for everyone can be a challenge, but these ground beef and edamame mini patties are one of those recipes that truly do it all. They’re packed with protein, full of simple ingredients, and perfectly sized for little hands, making them great for toddlers while still being just as delicious for adults. Whether you’re serving them as a quick lunch, an easy dinner, or even meal prepping for the week, this is a wholesome, versatile option the whole family can enjoy!

A Simple, Protein-Packed Family Recipe

These ground beef and edamame mini patties are one of those easy, go-to recipes you can rely on any day of the week. Made with simple, wholesome ingredients, they come together quickly and offer a balanced mix of protein, veggies, and flavor. The combination of ground beef and edamame creates a hearty base, while the added vegetables keep them soft and nutrient-dense.

They’re also incredibly versatile. You can serve them on their own, pair them with sides, or even use them as a protein option throughout the week. Whether you’re cooking for yourself, your family, or prepping ahead, this is a recipe that fits seamlessly into everyday meals.

Easy Protein Swaps

This recipe is very flexible and works well with different proteins. You can substitute the ground beef with:

  • ground chicken
  • ground turkey

Both options create a lighter version while still keeping the patties flavorful and high in protein.

Serving Ideas

  • serve with rice or roasted vegetables
  • pair with a simple salad for a quick lunch
  • add to a wrap or pita
  • enjoy with a dipping sauce like yogurt or a light aioli

A Great Option for Little Ones Too

While this recipe works well for the whole family, it’s also a great option for babies and toddlers. The patties are naturally soft, easy to hold, and simple to chew, making them a safe and practical way to introduce protein. The combination of beef and edamame provides important nutrients for growing little ones, and the small patty shape makes self-feeding easier. It’s a simple way to serve a balanced, protein-rich meal that both kids and adults can enjoy.

Storage and Reheating

  • Fridge: store in an airtight container for up to 3 days
  • Freezer: freeze in a single layer, then transfer to a bag for up to 2 months
  • Reheat: warm in a pan or microwave until heated through (always check temperature before serving)

These ground beef and edamame mini patties are a simple, nourishing recipe that brings together everyday ingredients in a way that’s both practical and delicious. Perfect for busy days, meal prep, or feeding the whole family, they’re a staple you’ll want to keep on repeat.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup edamame shells and skin removed
  • 1/4 cup steamed veggies of choice broccoli and cauliflower work great
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Sea salt + black pepper

Instructions

  • Steam the broccoli and cauliflower until very soft. Finely chop and gently squeeze out any excess water.
  • In a bowl, combine the ground beef, edamame, chopped veggies, egg, flour, garlic powder, thyme, and salt (if using). Mix until well combined.
