This recipe is savory, tangy and packs in a flavorful punch! It’s an effortless meal that cooks on it’s own in a rice cooker. If you haven’t tried a rice cooker meal yet, you’ll need to try this one! It makes enough for 6 servings!

Growing up, I only knew the rice cooker as a kitchen appliance that cooked rice. I never thought I could add other ingredients into it & make it a whole meal. I love how it does the cooking all by itself just like an Instantpot except it’s much easier to clean.
I have leftover kimchi, an onion and some ground beef so I decided to make this recipe. It surprised me with how good it tasted. ALSO, DO NOT skimp on the fried egg on top. I cooked my yolk through because I’m pregnant, but otherwise, a runny egg is the way to go!!
Below is everything mixed together right after being cooked. When I opened and mixed it up, I already knew this was going to be a GOOD meal.
Recently, I also made another rice cooker meal – Hainan Chicken Rice! This one was a HIT. How come I didn’t learn to make rice cooker recipes until 2024?!

I’m brainstorming more rice cooker meals to make before they’re so delicious and effortless. Let me know if you have any ideas! I’m open to any and all recipe ideas!
