Korean Gochujang Chicken
Some flavor of heat with a mix of salty and sweet! This sauce is made with mirin, soy sauce, garlic and a dash of brown sugar! This sauce works great with baked salmon, chicken or tofu in bibimbap bowls!
Servings: 4 servings
Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breasts diced
- 2 tablespoons mild gochujang chili poaste
- 1 tablespoon mirin
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 3 minced garlic cloves
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- sesame seeds for topping
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix together gochujang, mirin, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic cloves and brown sugar/maple syrup.
- Add in chicken to coat completely, marinate for 10 minutes, up to overnight of maximum flavor.
- Preheat skillet to medium heat with sesame oil. Add chicken to cook until done! Top with sesame seeds before serving!
