A quick snack or pre-workout fuel to make ahead of time! These are made with almond flour, creamy nut butter and sweetened with maple syrup! Make these for a nutritious filling snack!

These are a quick bite for a snack or morning pre-workout fuel! I’ve been testing out different energy ball flavors because I’m going to have a few batches to leave in the freezer for postpartum. This is a recipe I’m going to continue making and freeze! They also last in the fridge for up to 4 days!
There’s only 6 ingredients:
Peanut or cashew butter: I used peanut butter in this recipe so the flavor is a bit stronger. Cashews are a bit more subtle in flavor but it’s up to you! Make sure it’s creamy and not thick/chunky.
Maple syrup: The sweetener used and also works as a binder to hold all the ingredients together. You can also sub maple syrup with honey!
Almond flour: The dry ingredient that helps hold everything together with the almond butter + maple syrup (wet ingredients). Almond flour also makes the bite less grainy or dry since it’s naturally a higher in fat flour!
Chocolate chips: This is a must for some crunch and energy balls are just complete with a bit of chocolate 🙂
Vanilla extract & sea salt: to enhance the flavor!
